The Story of my life

Toddlers Library

We have read many books to her; most commonly demanded ones are (in no particular order)

  1. The Jungle book (Disney)
  2. 3 in one Moral Stories (my kids world)
  3. My little book of safety (Tumbi)
  4. Tinker bell and the friendship garden (Disney)
  5. Stories for 2 year olds(igloo)
  6. Stories for 3 year olds (igloo)
  7. Tangled (Disney)
  8. The Tiger who came to Tea (Judith Kerr)
  9. The Lion King (Disney)
  10. Pirate Adventure (Disney)
  11. A perfect day (Disney)
  12. Ratatouille : Rat-a-too-ee –( Disney)

These books are read almost every day and Tinker bell and Tiger story is read ‘at least’ three times a day. Other books which are discussed and pondered over every day are book of Nursery Rhymes, opposites, first words and picture Dictionary.

Initially it was difficult to make her understand ‘not to tear’ pages, now it seems a lot easier because she knows if they are torn, we can’t read it and pictures get distorted too. Now if she sees any of us picking a book to read to ourselves, she will run and gather few of her books and bring them over. She politely requests for the book which we are holding, she keeps it back on the table and replaces it with her book. The best part right now is, books are preferred to any TV show, unless otherwise it’s a movie from the book she is read to.

Personally, it’s a great stress and guilt buster to us, because we know we spent some ‘quality’ time with our daughter. Mostly, we buy books online and never leave an opportunity during travel; anything good we can get hold of finds a place in her library.
